This 2 day hands-on course is designed to train you on the principles of Microsoft Project.

At the conclusion of the course you’ll be able to use Microsoft Project as a powerful task and resource management tool, rather than simply a retrospective reporting tool. At the course’s conclusion you will be able to develop workable and modifiable models of your real-world projects.

Microsoft Project Fundamentals is designed to take you through the major phases of the project life cycle, and develop skills to represent and manage this process with Microsoft Project.

On day 1 a heavy focus is placed on developing correct task relationship models and building a work breakdown structure, while day 2 looks at resourcing, creating baselines (by which you can compare your plan to actual progress) and tracking a project plan to completion.

Course Delivery

We run our Microsoft Project Fundamentals courses at customer designated locations offering heavily discounted rates compared to the costs for staff attendance at public courses. 

Maximum numbers for this course is 10 participants.

Our customers provide the venue, equipment (data projector, whiteboard and 10 networked computers all with Microsoft Project 2003, 2007 or 2010 installed) and choice of catering.  Project Advantage provides the instructor, a notebook computer for course presentation, course materials (workbooks, CDs, handout materials for activities) and Certificates of Achievement.
